The hit television sci fi series, Once Upon A Time, started off with a bang. The spectacular tv show caught my interest quickly with the amazing characters and superbly written script. I, for one, never imagined that I could ever get caught up in a television series written about fictional Disney characters, but the explosive imagination of the writers paid off big time.
What the television series, Once Upon A Time, is about is actually real people. The show is not about Disney characters like I expected. But these characters were given human personalities and attributes that make them real interesting because the experience that these characters go through are actually human experiences. Like the experiences that you and me go through and decisions we have to make in our everyday lives. Once you throw a personality on these fictional characters, their individual stories become much more amazing and easier to relate to.

The Disney Soap Opera starts off with the evil witch and Snow White's arch enemy casting a spell on the fictional characters and casting them to a strange world where they are meant to suffer... a place called earth. When these characters are faced with human events and tribulations, they become and respond to these situations like human beings do. Snow White is no longer the perfect, beautiful, fair skinned Goddess that's incapable of making mistakes. Snow White actually becomes a human being capable of making many mistakes and facing situations that humans face all the time. This was ingenious. She is no longer living happily ever after with Prince Charming, but faced with conflict that humans endure everyday. I like it! Suddenly, I saw Snow White as a person that I could relate to. I could even understand the Evil Witches point of view and why she even became an evil witch at all.
what if peter pan was the bad guy?
Rumple Stiltskin actually had a human element and evolved into a complex and likeable character portrayed by a really good actor. Yet, the little boy who would be responsible for helping to save the day would face much criticism as a novice actor who took away from the series. But in reality, this was not true at all. I think that the boy chosen for the role actually did a good job and fit his role that he was supposed to play. However, once Peter Pan was introduced to the tv series in the last season, he overshadowed dramatically, as the boy has an exceptional acting ability.
Peter Pan was no longer the same loving and playful boy with good spirit, but had a darker spirit and a much deeper story. The way they meshed everything together was pure genius. Let me just say, this boy has a way to go and I think we will definitely see him in some major roles in the future. Hard to believe a boy could express such emotion and dominate the story line. I think many others agree with his phenomenal performance. It sort of makes me wonder what the future will hold for us in the next season. This show is pure awesome! And I have a whole new respect for Disney as I can now see the characters in a totally different light.
